It's only been a week since the last post, this is my attempt to do more regular posts, so there's not that much to report. The theme is still definitely that of mobility. Loden really has pretty good control over his legs/arms so if he wants something, he'll definitely go after it. Of course, all of the stuff he wants, he can't have. Like what for example? Well, Peacoat's toys. Peacoat has amassed quite a number of plush fetch toys since she tears them up so easily and loves to play fetch, so there's a spot in the house where they are piled up on a doggy bed. Loden spotted this location and has locked it in his small brain and every time he can get away from us, he heads straight for the doggy toys. One in particular is a red, bone-shaped plush toy. For whatever reason, Loden is attracted to red (I hope that means he's smart and will be rich and powerful one day...or is that green?). With the attraction to that particular color, it's no wonder that he loves Elmo.
Also, when we get home from work, we spend a lot of time in the kitchen. We used to just be able to sit Loden in the living room with some toys and he'll be content. Now, however, he likes being with us so he always try to crawl his way in. We try to keep him in his little playpen, but it just looks so sad seeing him caged in. Though sometimes, we need to get things done and it's the only place guaranteed to keep him safe.
Getting ready in the morning is getting more challenging as well. Again, we used to just plop him in the bedroom floor and he'll be happy. Now? Well, he really wants to fight his way in to the master bath. We've even made some attempts at keeping him in the closet since there's some carpet in there. Unfortunately, it only works for a few minutes and he starts to get curious about the master bath. Oh, and don't report us. We put him in the closet, not lock him in the closet. Big difference. :-)

I've got one for you. I was such a busybody as a baby, my mom used to strap me into the car seat and put me in the master bath when she needed to take a shower.
For some real fun - get the boy a cardboard box he can crawl in and out of. Egg cartons from the grocery store work great!
