Loden and Swim Class

After several weeks if going to swim class, it turns out what's keeping Loden back, is me! Loden is a brave, adventurous dude and it's a surprise to us why he cries in swim class with the instructor. Turns out, it's because I'm in the same room that he's in.

Why is this a big deal? Well, imagine school where he gets dropped of in the mornings, if I was there with him, why would he hang out with teachers dirty looks? He'd ask for me the whe time!

The geniuses at Emler swim school suggested that I watch from outside the pool area and see what happens. Sure enough, Loden did well! He loved it so much thanking his teacher and saying bye on the way out. The first thing he said when we got home was, "Mommy I swim by myself!" Talk about making me proud.

Next week's hurdle? How Loden will do when mommy and Cyan are in the pool right next to him. Stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel.
