What a great Easter Weekend! Granted is was a chilly morning which may have re aggravated Loden's cold. We started off meeting at 9:30am at Loden's school to dedicate the new Early Learning Center. That's right, they built a new facility just for Loden ... ahem, and his friends. These kids are the first ever class for the new learning center and they now have a much bigger area to play in. Part of the decor inside the new building are HUGE photos of the kids. There's one of Loden hiding behind something and giving that signature smile. Ya know, I ought to take a picture of that thing. Silly me.
After that, we then took to the soccer fields to meet 100+ kids lining up to look for eggs. Luckily, they've done this before so there was a section for 4 years and less. We got to our spot and Loden was ready to go. I'm not even sure if he knew what he was supposed to do, but it didn't matter to him. He just wanted running around time. Soon enough, the siren goes off to signal the kids to run. My oh my, it's massive chaos. It's not only the kids running, but parents hoping to get pictures and videos (ahem, video coming soon). Loden caught on so quickly. Mommy showed Loden an egg and then to put it in his basket. Loden followed suit. However, he thought it was so much more fun to find an egg and then to throw it. He would then try to chase it to only throw it again. My mom couldn't stop laughing. With all the eggs on the soccer field, Loden only needed one. Granted it was a super cool egg since it has a monkey on both sides.
This day belonged to Loden, we let him run around the field, run around the school gym while the magic show was going on and run around his classroom while he showed us his new school. We even visited his old classroom and teachers since they did so much to help us raise Loden. Then we took a sneak peek at the two year old room where Loden graduates to.
At any rate, it was a very busy Easter weekend indeed. I can't wait until the weather warms up even more so we can spend more time outside.
Loden, look up dude.

Hold on to that egg!

There are other eggs ya know?

Time to go buddy.

Great, he discovered balloons.

Time for my closeup!

I'll never forget Loden's first egg hunt after all the chasing and egg throwing he did. He was not only cute but oh so funny. I only have to look at these photos to start laughing.

Hey, he knew what an egg was - that's awesome! All Kate wanted to do was put one in her mouth :)
