Nine Month Doctor's Visit

That's right, Loden is 9 months old, or young, or however you want to look at it. He's equaled the time outside of the womb as inside, though it seems like he's been with us for so much longer. Loden had one vaccine shot and a flu shot, took it like a champ. He's now just about 25 lbs. and at 30 inches tall. He's growing indeed! The pediatrician also approved us to go ahead and start feeding him some solid food, slowly. He mentioned foods like pasta, chicken and mashed potatoes. Also, to go ahead and start to introduce whole milk. The boy is going to eat better than me!

As said in other posts, he's standing on his own with ease. His teachers at school are pushing him to start walking, Loden really wants to, maybe just doesn't trust himself yet. At home, when he stands, we try to get him to come to us. He'll reach out his arms and start to get frustrated because he really wants to but can't.

A couple of other developments, though small, are so cute! He's learned to clap. Now he can't stop doing it. We encourage it and clap along with him. He's also slowly learning to distinguish when to use "dadadada", "mamamama', and "bababababa." To him, they mean dad, mom and bottle.

His teeth continue to come out and unfortunately that means excessive drooling and spikes in temperature. Nothing too bad, but it does make him uncomfortable. It certainly is one thing after another with this guy!
