My Little Boy!

I guess there's a reason why people say to treasure all the moments with your baby and boy were "they" right. These lil guys just grow up so fast! You really notice it when they spend time away from you. One weekend not too long ago, Christina and I both caught a bug and my parents took Loden for a couple of nights while we recover. When we got him back, it really seems like a whole different person than who we had just a few days ago. As each day passes, the more Loden looks like a little boy. Sure, he's only 10 1/2 months old, but he's walking like crazy and is getting more and more curious about his environment. He'll get interested in something and you'll see him try to figure out how something works. His little brain is trying to process as best it can. At school, I'm now able to set him down on the floor without asking for his favorite teacher. He heads straight towards the toddler area because of more 'grown-up' toys. It's funny, he's only allowed in there when the toddlers aren't occupying the space. The teachers close the gate that separates the area when the toddlers are playing. Loden will go back and check to see if the gate is open. If a teacher leaves it open for a moment, Loden heads straight for it. It's so cute dropping him off now. While I put up his milk and other supplies, he's just walking from area to area picking up toys and playing. It's such a great comfort for us to know that he is enjoying school. He's even got a gang at school. He gets other babies to follow him around and chase him. So cute! The teachers even told me that they were surprised to see a caring attitude at such an early stage. There was a baby girl that was crying about something and Loden headed straight for her as to console her. As tiring as it is to keep up with the lil guy, your heart just melts every time you hear stories like this from his teachers. We truly are blessed for having Loden.
